PittEnrich is a tutoring program for Homewood students in grades 1 through 5, developed in partnership with the Gismondi Foundation. It provides English Language Arts and Mathematics support through in-school tutoring, as well as Saturday sessions at Pitt’s CEC in Homewood.
On Saturdays, PittEnrich students also receive enrichment sessions on topics that span from various forms of the health sciences to learning about fun ways to engage the natural sciences within the context of their neighborhood. This program is a collaborative effort that includes several Homewood community partners, Pittsburgh Faison and Pittsburgh Lincoln Elementary Schools, Pitt’s School of Education, and Pitt’s Office of Engagement and Community Affairs.
