The SPIN project has worked with 90 Homewood youth to identify safe and risky spaces in their neighborhood, information that will be used to develop a strategy to increase youths engagement in safe spaces and address the risky spaces. The SPIN Projects Youth Research Advisory Board meets weekly to learn about research and leadership and guide the activities of our research study.
In 2020 we will be hosting community forums!
We are inviting, Parents, youth and community organizations.
We are going to:
- Look at the data discuss what it means
- Decide what should be done about it
- Make an action plan
- Work with neighborhood organizations to execute the plan.
We are no longer recruiting participants for the SPIN research study. We will be recruiting 2-3 additional youth to be on the projects advisory board. Advisory Board meets weekly at the Everyday Café at 3:00 PM on Wednesdays.
