Digital Inclusion Studio

Closing the digital divide by providing resources and delivering programming that makes information and communication technologies accessible.

You are here: Home / Hill District / Digital Inclusion Studio

S.T.E.A.M Studio

The S.T.E.A.M Studio features a variety of robust programming that introduces participants to concepts of S.T.E.A.M. Traditionally the acronym has stood for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. At the Hill CEC this acronym is expounded upon to include an array of subjects such as Entrepreneur, Media, Architecture, and more. Some of the programs that fall under our S.T.E.A.M Studio are:

  • Swanson School of Engineering: BioBots
  • Drone Technology
  • Lego Gadgets
  • Video Game Design

Watch our video illustrating the planning process and partnerships behind the Hill CEC S.T.E.A.M Studio here.

Digital Literacy

The Hill CEC provides programming that aims to build digital literacy within the Hill District community. These programs are designed to build skills that will allow participants to effectively communicate and navigate through a variety of digital
formats. To learn more about Digital Literacy watch this video recapping the experience of instructors and participants from a Senior Digital Literacy course offered last spring here.
