iServe

iServe is a partnership between the School of Computing and Information and PittServes. Launched in fall 2015, iServe strives to leverage the talents and aspirations of students to create meaningful volunteer projects with local organizations. Utilizing a skill-based inventory, organizations have the opportunity to submit project proposals for student volunteers to complete during the fall and spring semesters. This program encourages students to utilize their technical skills to better understand the local Pittsburgh community, while gaining invaluable real-world experience. Since the program launched, more than 100 student volunteers have partnered with 25 local community partners to complete more than 20 projects.
