Homewood Healthy Smiles

Homewood Healthy Smiles is now open to participants! This all-virtual research program has been tailored to address the specific barriers to oral health experienced by Black adolescents and is for adolescents age 12 to 17 who live in Homewood.

Participants will attend two, one-hour virtual classes about oral health education. Sessions will provide oral health education on diet, hygiene, smoking and vaping.  This will require a strong internet connection so you can both hear and see the information clearly and participate. Participants will also need to take an online survey before and after each of the two sessions.

Those who participate in both sessions will receive a toothbrush, toothpaste, and information about oral health!
