Jacob Zabela is a community liaison and organizer. He is focused on driving cumulative material development and serving the needs of working-class communities in and around Pittsburgh.
In his role as the Outreach Coordinator for Pitt’s Greater Hazelwood Neighborhood Commitment, Jacob assists in the development of partnerships with community stakeholders and planning for the future Community Engagement Center, serving as a contact for neighborhood residents and prospective fellows.
Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, Jacob worked in public benefits outreach, on political campaigns, and as a multimedia artist. His work demonstrates the necessity of community engagement across industries and professions.
